The Washington County Humane Society, Inc.

The Washington County Humane Society is located in Slinger, Wisconsin. WCHS is a full-service shelter and we hold all adoptable animals until they find their lifetime homes. In addition to our animal services, our community outreach programs include educational presentations to schools and civic groups, a pet therapy program for nursing homes and hospitals, Safe Pets/Safe People (sheltering the companion animals of domestic abuse victims), providing dogs to organizations such as Dogs for Independence and U.S. Customs, and collaborating with other community organizations in the event of a disaster such as fires and tornados.

WCHS provides shelter, food, care and medical services for nearly 4000 animals annually. We have adoption services to match homeless pets with new families with follow-up and support for new pet owners. We have a lost and found network to help reunite lost pets with their families as well as training classes to assist dog owners and create good canine citizens. WCHS has information and referral services for a wide array of pet and wildlife concerns and we also offer cremation services as a lasting memory of a lost pet with a wide range of urns available.
